MILTARY OUSTERS FOR BEING GAY UP 10%

So what if someone claims they are gay so they can get out of the military? Do they have some kind of "gaydar" to judge whether they are really gay or not? It's hard to believe that in this day and age, this has any bearing on whether you can be in the military or not.

WASHINGTON · The Defense Department discharged 726 service members last year for being gay, up about 10 percent from 2004, figures released by a gay rights group show.

The group, the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network, obtained the information through a Freedom of Information Act request.
