CONDI MAKES SUPRISE VISIT TO LEBANON

SIDON, Lebanon — Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice made a surprise visit to Lebanon today to launch diplomatic efforts aimed at ending 13 days of warfare, as Israeli ground forces pushed deeper into the country in heavy fighting with Hezbollah guerrillas.

I kept wondering why on earth she wouldn't be visiting Lebanon. This administration is really into "surprise" visits. It will be interesting to see what comes out of Condi's latest trip, other than some new shoes. Camel skin coat, perhaps?
